Hi friend,

The lovely cover model for Until April, Marianna, is a former student from the high school where I was a librarian. She has had a heart for ministries since a young age, and I asked her to share a little about the ministry she worked for. (Since we made the cover, Marianna and her husband had an adorable baby, and she stays home with him.)

Tell us about the ministry, Marianna.

Reclaimed Project is a nonprofit based in Jackson, Mississippi, with ministry locations in South Africa and the Mississippi Delta. Reclaimed believes every child deserves the opportunity to be loved, cared for, and given hope for the future. I believe their work is effective because they don’t just meet immediate needs, they partner with local churches and communities to build lasting, sustainable solutions that allow vulnerable children and families to flourish.

I love that their mission reflects God’s heart for the orphan, the widow, and the oppressed, empowering the local church to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a way that creates lasting change. This isn’t a quick-fix operation. This kind of work takes years, along with the power of the Holy Spirit, to begin seeing transformation in communities.

I’m thankful to support a ministry that is faithfully investing in people, strengthening local communities, and trusting God to bring lasting transformation for generations to come. Having lived in Lesotho for two years and then serving as Reclaimed Project’s Communications Director for the following five years, I had the unique opportunity to witness firsthand the lasting impact of their ministry and the lives being transformed through their work.

Thank you so much for sharing your faith and for modeling for my novel!

I hoped you enjoyed hearing Marianna’s story! And I hope you are enjoying Until April 🙂 Let me know.

Fun fact: Marianna’s husband just happened to be named Michael, the same as the hero’s name in the story—a total coincidence since I had already written this character before they became the cover models.

Also, let me know what’s going on in your world.

Blessings,

Janet

Books to read below:

On the Fence About You is by my friend author, Emily Conrad. I haven’t gotten to read this one yet, but I have read many of her novels.

A warmhearted and faith-filled clean romance from Emily Conrad about surrendering your plans, finding peace, and, of course, loving your neighbor.
